Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase returns to Minot
More than 100 vendors will offer the finest North Dakota-made products at the 2007 Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 10-11, at the All Seasons Arena at the State Fairgrounds in Minot.
“We’ll have a tremendous selection of North Dakota-made foods and condiments, decorative and gift items, wearing apparel, jewelry, recordings and much more,” said Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson. “It’s a great opportunity to do a lot of your holiday shopping.”
Showcase hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday. Admission is $2 per adult; parking is free.
“This year, we’re offering Holiday Showcase customers free reusable bags with their paid admission,” Johnson said. “These reusable bags can be used for other holiday shopping, trips to the grocery store and more.”
Pride of Dakota, the Bank of North Dakota, Great River Energy, Xcel Energy, Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of North Dakota, the Office of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency and the North Dakota Soybean Council are sponsoring the reusable bag giveaway to promote recycling and reduce the use of disposable plastic bags.
Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcases are also scheduled for Nov. 17-18, in the Fargo Civic Auditorium, Fargo, and Dec. 1-2, in the Bismarck Civic Center and Exhibition Hall, Bismarck.
Authorized by the State Legislature and administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program offers member companies opportunities to participate in cooperative promotion and marketing events, representation at local, state, regional, national, and international trade shows and educational opportunities. More than 430 North Dakota companies are current members.
